Couples
Relationships are full of ups and downs and it can be easy to feel like giving up when you’re stuck in a pattern of perpetual conflict. For over 10 years I’ve worked with couples from all over the world who have experienced a variety of challenges. My focus is to provide a safe space to process emotions and to equip and empower couples with the tools they need to be successful.
My Methods
As a couples therapist, I have found that co-facilitating sessions with another relationship expert can provide a multitude of benefits. One of the primary benefits of co-facilitation is that it allows for more effective communication between the therapist and the couple. With two facilitators present, the couple is able to receive feedback and support from two different sources, which can help them to feel heard and validated. Additionally, having a co-counselor present can reduce the risk of therapist bias.
Co-facilitation can also be valuable in addressing power imbalances within the relationship. With two counselors present, there is a greater opportunity to identify and challenge any unhealthy dynamics in the relationship. This can lead to more balanced and respectful communication, and ultimately, a stronger relationship.
Finally, co-facilitation can help to address complex issues that may be difficult to navigate with just one counselor. With two counselors present, couples can explore their issues in greater depth, and benefit from a broader range of perspectives and interventions. This can lead to more meaningful and lasting change within the relationship.
